Ann at NationalsAnn Garnett-Wheeler

Ann's love of riding was spurred by her mother, Lish Garnett.  As a child Ann was coached by Lish and long time friend, judge, and stewart, Wayne Eubank.  Ann competed the famous small pony Farnely Nimble under the guidance of Pam Baker, a VHSA Hall of Fame member and acclaimed hunter-jumper instructor.  Ann's dreams of competing among the top ranked equestrians in the country continued to come true, riding with Claiborne Bishop of The Barracks as well as course desighner and hunter instructor Glenn Moody.  Ann reached the pinnacle with Don Stewart of the prestigious and Champion producing Don Stewart Stables.

After achieving these goals Ann moved back to Fredericksburg, Virginia to delve into her passion: establishing her professional equestrian facility. Along with her training she also manages both Rose Mount Farm's rated shows. Ann's years of education and experience are transferred into instructing the dedicated equestrian on the A and AA Rated Hunter-Jumper show circuit.  In 2011 Ann was 2nd in the WCHR Mid Atlantic reigon Emerging Pro.  Ann's clients have won local, state, and zone awards. Riders have gone to ride in college on IHSA teams and NCEA teams.
